Purpose:
For research nearing completion that seeks detailed feedback prior to finalization (max. 10,000 words, including Abstract, Tables, Figures, References and Appendices).
Process:
Submissions receive feedback from a JBL editor or senior editor and a JBL reviewer.
High-quality conference papers aligned with JBL’s scope may be invited for re-submission to the journal, with a guarantee of reviewer consistency for subsequent stages.
Authors can choose whether to revise and submit their work to JBL or another journal after receiving feedback.
Presentation Requirement:
Authors present their paper at ERS and receive further constructive feedback from conference participants.
Submission Process:
Submit the conference paper via (1) the ERS submission platform (link will open 7th Jan.) AND (2) the JBL submission system, following the JBL style guide available on the journal webpage https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/page/journal/21581592/homepage/forauthors.html .
For both Journals: Clearly state in the journal cover letter that the submission is for ERS 2025.
For JBL submissions: Select “Original Article” and then, when asked if the submission is for a special issue, select “ERS Submission - Conference Paper”
